I admit it: I'm a theif!

I feel like I could burst.

I've been feeling this way a lot lately - and I love it! I'm just so overwhelmed with the beauty, goodness, mercy, ....ect....of God. He is SOOO good to me! And He is SOOOO beautiful!

So when I read this post at Leah's blog, I HAD to join in. I left a comment there...and then got to thinking that I want to hear more. I want to hear other folks talking about what they love about the LORD.

So I'm stealing Leah's idea. (Thanks, Leah!) Please, tell me what you love about God. Overflow my comment section.

This isn't a plug for comments. If you don't leave them, I'll write them myself, because I'm soooo bursting full of admiration for Him!!!!!

But I really want to hear from you too.

Let's write - shall we?

One of the things I love most about God is how He loved me first. He loved me more than life and gave His own Son to die for my sins. I love His mercy. I love that He can never sin. I love His faithfulness. I love His comfort. I love how His intention all throughout His word was for the salvation of man, and all so He could get the glory. I hate to say it, but I love the way He makes me wait for things until His timing. I just love the way that He always fulfills my dreams soooo much more than I ever dared to dream! I love His humility. I love His relationship to His people. I love how His wrath turns to mercy over and over again in His word.

I will write more later, but I've gotta run! I wrote these on Leah's blog.

Check out my blog for more, Amber. I decided to post it, too! =) It's just such a good subject for us to think about!

I love the fact that when we sin, and then we repent/confess, we don't have wait "outside" so to speak feeling that we can't draw near to God because we just sinned, and even though we confess, we still feel guilty. To just realize that God is holding His arms out to us with joy because He wants us to come to Him. That we don't have to feel guilty anymore, because God has already forgotten our sin and separated is from us as far as the east is from the west. In summary, that when we sin, when we've ignored Him...etc. When we come back, He's standing there with arms wide wanting to take us in His arms and show us that He's taken care of it, and then His love hasn't changed for us :)

Sorry if some of that just doesn't make sense. But I'm kinda overwhelmed too :)

And thanks Amber for this blog entry. It's renewing a passion in me for God, and reminding me how good/wonderful/beautiful/loving He is too!

I've been thinking about this some more today.

I also love the fact the He answers prayer for "little" things. There have been many times this year that God has given me things that I wanted, when I didn't even bother to pray for it because I considered it too small to ask for. And He has taught me in that that when something is on my heart that I want, I should go ahead and ask for it, because He cares about all the "big" and "little" things that we desire :)

PEACE.

The peace that passeth all understanding.

The peace that overwhelms after spending quiet time in the morning with the Lord - not out of habit, but out of a true heart's desire to meet Him there.

The peace that quietly underlies the activities of the day.

The peace that enables one to rise above, to overcome, circumstances which would otherwise ruffle our feathers.

The peace that allows us to accept whatever is said or done, to sort out the wheat and blow away the chaff.

The peace that produces an unconscious smile and radiance to others.

The peace that makes one's heart glow, looking back over the day knowing it was a quiet peaceful day.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Isaiah 26:3

In Him,

Oh Amber, I'm glad you are writing about this too!
God is so wonderful and marvelous, that is another thing I love about Him and I love that His character and beauty is not at all effected by humans. It does not matter what people believe, God is still who He is. Even if everyone on earth were to become an atheist, it would in no way diminish the absolute glory of God! I love that! I also love that He never changes, He is always the same!

I know what you mean about bursting with admiration for God!!!!!!! He truly is SOOOOO wonderful! I love to think of His work in Creation - both the large and small details of everything that He created and sustains, including me!!
