Just some questions for you.

Because I like to hear from you!

~ Does anyone out there besides me cringe at the thought of breakfast in bed?

~ Do you sing loud when you're alone in the car?

~ Don't you just love waking up with a long, relaxed sigh, and feeling so incredibly cozy, as opposed to waking up with a jerk at the sound of the alarm, and rolling over to blindly find the snooze?

~ Would you rather cook or bake?

~ Does having other people in the kitchen with you when you're working annoy you or not?

~ Are you ready for spring?

~ Does anyone besides me look for the spell check button on the upper left-hand corner of a sheet of paper when you're writing with a pen and you mess up?

~ Did you have a song stuck in your head today?

~ Did you pause long enough to look at and enjoy something beautiful today?

~ Did you look anyone in the eyes today for more than a second?

~ Wanna smile? Go ahead. You've probably let your face fall into that settled, stare-at-the-screen, mopey, dead look. It's okay. Mine looks about the same way right now. But let's take a deep breath and lighten up our faces together. Ready? SMILE!!!!

~ Did you spin around just for fun any time this week?

~ Who is your favorite author?

~ What color is your hairbrush?

~ Got a favorite mountain?

Pick a question....or two or three or four!...and make me smile. :)

~Are you ready for spring?~ My heart is, but the rest of me is not. I need to make a 1914 afternoon dress before the apple blossoms come out so I can wear that for my senior pictures... :-)

~Did you have a song stuck in your head today?~ LOL! Yes! Until this evening, I couldn't get out of my head the song "Concerning Hobbits" from the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. (I have never even seen LotR but I got the song off of a blog playlist and really like it. :-) )

~Wanna smile?~ I actually did smile when you said SMILE! :-) And I'm still smiling. ;-)

~Did you spin around just for fun any time this week?~ Yes! :-D

Fun post! Hope you are doing well! :-D

Love in Christ,
Melanie

Melanie, thanks for commenting! Your 1914 dress sounds like it will be beautiful; I'd love to see pics when it's done! And I'm glad you're smiling. :)

Alethea, yes, yes, YES, you made me grin!!!!! Thanks. :) :) :) Love you too!

What fun!

Indeed, I despise Alarm Clocks, they are so very offensive sounding in the early morning.

I would FAR rather cook than bake. Cooking is so much broader, you can experiment to your hearts content. Baking? Well, lets just say my experiments have never worked. :/

Yes, I spun around this week. What else are flowing skirts for?

As for people being in the kitchen with me. I prefer to be alone - that way I can talk to myself or sing without being caught. But having a little helper is fun too.

My favorite author, (at least for this week) is Isabella Alden.

And yes, you made me smile. : )

~ Does anyone out there besides me cringe at the thought of breakfast in bed? I have good memories of the one time I've had it fixed for me by my sister. :) but other meals in bed are for when I'm sick...

~ Do you sing loud when you're alone in the car? Just at a low-normal volume.

~ Don't you just love waking up with a long, relaxed sigh, and feeling so incredibly cozy, as opposed to waking up with a jerk at the sound of the alarm, and rolling over to blindly find the snooze? Yes.

~ Would you rather cook or bake? Either, really, depending on the recipe.

~ Does having other people in the kitchen with you when you're working annoy you or not? Nope, for me, it's the more the merrier, whereas, other people want me out. :)

~ Are you ready for spring? Not yet, too many indoor projects to get finished first.

~ Does anyone besides me look for the spell check button on the upper left-hand corner of a sheet of paper when you're writing with a pen and you mess up? NO, but when an object is lost, I feel like calling it on the phone or Googling it.

~ Did you have a song stuck in your head today? "Faithful Love" by Ken Young, a new hymn we just learned from friends who sang it a capella.

~ What color is your hairbrush? Grey and purple

~ Got a favorite mountain? Any that we hike as a family.

Fun post.:)

~ Does anyone out there besides me cringe at the thought of breakfast in bed? I do. I'd rather be up for a bit before I eat.

~ Did you pause long enough to look at and enjoy something beautiful today? We have hills outside our front window. I stop and look every day at their beauty :o)

~ Did you look anyone in the eyes today for more than a second?

~ Who is your favorite author? Lucy Maud Montgomery, Jane Austen or Grace Livingston Hill. I can't pick just one.

Ruth Ann said...

~ Would you rather cook or bake? umm, cook I suppose =)

~ Does having other people in the kitchen with you when you're working annoy you or not? it depends, on what I'm making and how I'm feeling. I do like to work alone *sometimes*, but I love working on making a meal or dessert with my sisters!

~ Are you ready for spring? yes, yes, YES! although, today was such a beautiful spring-like today, so I have no reason to complain...after 2-3 weeks of *really* winterish temps!

~ Did you have a song stuck in your head today? maybe, that happens to me often. I think I had one this morning, but I don't know what it was, and then I had 'How Deep the Fathers Love for Us' in my head and it was a good thing to have stuck there...

~ Did you pause long enough to look at and enjoy something beautiful today? yes, and I even took some pictures of beauty today because God raptured my heart through the beauty...it had to be documented...

~ Did you look anyone in the eyes today for more than a second? hmm, this is pretty convicting. I don't know that I did...

~ Wanna smile? Go ahead. it definitely made me SMILE! thanks...I need to remember that!

~ Did you spin around just for fun any time this week? NO! *ahem* I'm refined. lol...actually I should!

~ Who is your favorite author? inspired by God! {speaking of the authors in the Bible} Of them I'd probably have to pick David as my favorite...or Paul}

~ What color is your hairbrush? umm, blue

~ Got a favorite mountain? Colorado mountains! *sigh* they're so pretty!

May you smile lots today and may God show you Himself in beauty cascading everywhere. =)

~ Do you sing loud when you're alone in the car? As I don't have my license yet, no...but I'm sure I would if I did. When I happen to be home alone I always like to sing really loudly! :)

~ Would you rather cook or bake? Bake - cookies, cakes, pies, cobblers, bread....etc.

~ Are you ready for spring? Yes, I have to admit I am. But I wish spring didn't mean that summer was coming - because I dread summer. ;)

~ Did you have a song stuck in your head today? I did! It was Faithful Love - we sang it on Sunday. It was a new song for us, and yesterday it was stuck in my head, and my sister's, and my mom's! When one of us would forget it for a minute, someone else would start whistling it, and the cycle would start all over again.

~ What color is your hairbrush?
Teal.

~ Got a favorite mountain? Humpback Rock! One of my favorite places to hike.

You ladies are such fun! I'm very glad I wrote this post; your answers have had me smiling. :)

Marie, I agree with you about alarm clocks, and you're right; cooking is much easier to play around with than baking. I've had many more baking flops than cooking ones!

Hannah, your comment about Googling or calling a lost object made me crack up!!!!

Angelique, wow, having beautiful hills outside your window must be wonderful! Our home is on a road just outside a city, so we're not in the middle of everything, but we're within sight of it, and I think having a country view out the window would be lovely!

Ruth Ann, I love your new profile picture! And "How Deep the Father's Love" is such a beautiful and tremendously moving song. I love it. :)

Sarah, I've never heard the song "Faithful Love." The title sounds pretty. I know what you mean about having several people in the house "stuck" on the same song; the minute it's gone from your head, somebody DOES start humming or whistling it! :) :) :) Oh - and you poor dear! - why do you dread summer? Is it the heat?

Anna said...

Yes I cringe at breakfast in bed.
and I sing loud.
and yes to the next one.
cook.
yes it annoys me, a lot.
sure!
no never had that happen...I don't write a lot.
I always have songs stuck in my head. There are too many to recount.
Yes.
I think so.
I smiled. =)
No.
Well, Jesus, but other than that, I love Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. You should read it if you haven't.
I don't use a hairbrush. I have curly hair. =D
Any mountain is cool. They're all awesome.

And I know you said 3 or 4 but I was having so much fun and they were making me smile. =)

Mostly - and the humidity and bugs. :) I always like cooler weather better, because you can always add another layer and be comfortable. However, in summer, you can't exactly take off clothing to be cooler! ;) Fall and spring are just the perfect temps for me - ahh!
