Happy fall everyone!
I'm going to celebrate the occasion by spending the morning baking with my sisters.
I dreamed last night that I was making pumpkin pie. Hmm.
The leaves around here aren't really starting to color very much yet.
My grandparents are coming into town today, for their fall tradition of celebrating my Grandpa's birthday here with us. :) :)
I can't wait for the yearly apple festivals that take place here. The mountian foothills just 30-40 minutes from us, are filled with apple orchards. This year our music group, The King's Strings, has been asked to play at my favorite festival! :)
....Aaaand I'm late on what I'm supposed to be doing this morning. Lots to keep me busy. Gotta run!

Purpose
The purpose of "The Fruit of Her Hands" is to encourage Christian women to use their hands for the glory of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. The theme of this blog is Proverbs 31:10-31, which talks about a virtuous woman, and how she uses her hands to serve her family and honor the Lord. Some of the skills that God has called me to pursue are; writing, sewing, cooking, cleaning, and gardening, and I use this blog to discuss my journey towards being a virtuous woman who is given the fruit of her hands.

Proverbs 31:10-31
10Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
13She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
14She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
15She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
16She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
19She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
22She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
23Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
24She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
25Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
30Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
31Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
Psalm 16
1. Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
2. O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my LORD: my goodness extendeth not unto thee;
3. But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is my delight.
4. Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
5. The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
6. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7. I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8. I have set the LORD alway before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures evermore.

Fall is my favorite season! I can't wait until it actually starts to cool down. :)
I just finished putting out our autumnal table decorations - now at it least it looks a little like fall.
