My to do/finish/mend box/pile is pretty big too. I should *ban* myself from starting any new projects or buying any more fabric before starting anything else! See how long it takes me to finish it all! :D
~juliajuliahttp://www.julia-sews.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1729287136187801250.post-49776292798246122502010-06-02T21:46:54.507-04:002010-06-02T21:46:54.507-04:00Ruth Ann: Thanks for the comment. :) It's so n...Ruth Ann: Thanks for the comment. :) It's so nice to know I'm not alone in my feelings! If it's any encouragement to you, I think I'm pulling out of the "phase" for now, at least; I've gotten some new inspiration for working with my hair; mainly consisting of scheduling time in my morning to actually take a few minutes to do a good job on my hair, and then look presentable for the rest of the day, rather than take a few seconds to twist hair and stick a claw clip in, and then cringe all day long when I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. :) :) Hope you find some solutions as well!

Julia: I don't remember you commenting here before either, so welcome, welcome, welcome! I'm always happy when secret blog readers come out and introduce themselves. :) Thanks for the encouragement. You mentioned my sewing posts; do you sew? I've been doing SO much of it this past week, chipping away at my pile of "current projects." (I have a tub with that label on it, and I practically have to sit on it to close it!) It feels so good to get stuff done! :) I'm glad I "ranted" about my hair, if it got you to come out of the woodwork and introduce yourself. lol. Welcome again!Amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17395711824025103530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1729287136187801250.post-31545644251739243822010-06-02T20:41:41.742-04:002010-06-02T20:41:41.742-04:00I can totally relate to those feelings! "Take...I can totally relate to those feelings! "Take care of the *stuff*" LOL I know! :D I'm 'kinda feeling like that right now.... whether or not I should cut it.... I get these feelings every Summer when the weather heats up though! Just turn on the window-unit and wait a few minutes... it'll pass, right? :) I think I want to trim off a couple inches though, I think its like almost 30" right now!
The headache thing too.... I used to do buns alot, but recently they seem to really annoy my scalp and it gets to itchy, so right now I'm stuck in the "pony-tail-rut" :o)
I don't know if I've ever commented before, but I've been reading your blog for quite awhile.... I like the sewing posts and your perspective on things :)
~julia in Oklahomajuliahttp://www.julia-sews.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1729287136187801250.post-48473302679330042592010-06-01T20:42:20.792-04:002010-06-01T20:42:20.792-04:00really?!?
oh Amber, I've felt the same way, m...really?!?

oh Amber, I've felt the same way, many times.

I have been through the I-don't-know-what-to-do-with-my-hair-so-I-cut-it-shorter phase, and then knowing I like my longer hair but am frustrated cause I don't know what to do with it.

And right now...I'm in the almost-frustration mode. Day after day after day after day I pull it back in a barrette and that's all there is to it. I'd like some variety.

So we are opposites in that...you're very creative, I'm not. =)

I don't have the talent of my sisters who can braid their own hair and each other's and come up with various hair styles. Though when they have time I ask them if they would put mine up, and they happily oblige.

But you know, Amber,...I really appreciated your perspective here:

And I think that resisting the temptation to get a short, boyish cut, which would be much easier to take care of, is one reason why long hair is a glory to a woman; it's a sign that she can resist temptation. :)

"It's a sign that she can resist temptation." Oh yes, I'm going to remember that. And hopefully, hopefully, hopefully can figure out some ways to overcome this frustration and have a 'new look' to this head of hair!

And, I hope that you can find some relief from your frustration as well!!!Ruth Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17073083165742277630noreply@blogger.com
